Wow sorry that I haven't written for so long. Seems like an eternity. This weekend I spent in Vernon with the fam. Had a rather good time. It was nice and relaxing and also allowed me to catch up with both myself and some friends there. Saturday night was my older Uncle's 50th birthday. It was ok, I saw my cousins for the first time in years. They're fine.

So anyways after the party my sister and I went to meet up with some of her friends who were having a grad from the school they go to. I knew my childhood best friends girlfriend was grading from there but I didn't even think about the fact that I would likely run into him. I did. I was uncomfortable. He saw me and came running over and hugged me etc. etc. Then of course after marveling at how different I looked (all weekend I was told how different I looked by just about everyone who saw me, irritated my sister) insisted that I call him. Apparently I had been very bad for not calling him for the past two years. Apparently he doesn't have access to a phone that makes outgoing calls. After I escaped from him we went dancing at Vernon's only club. I felt like I was the oldest one there. Interesting experience none-the-less.

I forgot to mention that I got my hair streaked blonde Saturday morning. I really like it!

Sunday was Father's Day. We had A&W in the park and gave Dad some shirts that I'd bought for him a couple of months ago. Seems that now I work in retail my Sister has officially decided it's going to be my job to buy gifts from us for all occasions. Actually she'd done this years before I started working retail.

It's been extremely hot for the past week now. The temp has been over 30C for about a week now. Already the BC summer forest fires have started with a vengeance. Four water bombers from Ontario have already been sent and there are crews from every Province and even California here already. It's going to be a bad summer for fires. The town of Lilloette (one of my favourite places to spend a day or two) is already on high alert for evacuation.

Enough mindless babble. I've got to go to bed.
