I have a new friend. Pam the girl that I work with and I get along just famously. Since she knew that I have been really excited about seeing the new Harry Potter movie she asked me if I'd like to go along with her and her sister tonight. This is how I ended up in the theater, myself and four East Indian girls! Go figure. Anyways the movie was ok but I was disappointed at all of the detail missed from the books.
Now an update on my new job. So far I can liken it to trying to take a drink from a fire hose. The amount of information that we are expected to go over and through is just INSANE! As my previous post indicated I have been feeling totally overwhelmed. I'm expecting this feeling to start to fade soon though as it is only the second day and I'm still getting used to it. Thankfully tomorrow is my day off but I am planning on doing a fair bit of work just to keep up and get things done. So much for never going back to school! The only difference, and it's a merciful one at that, is that this time I'm getting paid to be there and do this stuff.
Tomorrow Janet and I are going to do something together. We're not sure what but we really haven't spent any time together lately. Saturday night really doesn't count. Oh did I mention, it seems that I have a new drunken alias. Saturday night I was introducing myself as Andrew the whole time at the bar... Weird. I don't have any idea where this came from at all. So tomorrow Janet and I are going to do our best to do something interesting together.
The rest of this week looks just about as interesting as the first two days of this one have been. Unfortunately that means that I likely won't have a huge amount to write about for the next little while. Maybe tomorrow I'll write about the Federal Leadership debate that I'm planning on watching... Yes maybe... I think it's interesting that Stephen Harper's Conservative Party is now leading in the Polls in Ontario and the panelists are getting excited as hell that he could end up being our next PM. I'm not sure I'd go that far but I do think that poor Paul Martin doesn't have a shot at another Majority Government. Maybe that's a good thing... Maybe! What they HELL am I saying?!
